About Me

I was born Anita Lynn Antons in Oakland, California on October 11, 1946. My parents are Alice Belle Boyd, (Antons), Philip Antons. I had one sister Beverly Jeanne Antons; she was three years older than myself. I was born with a unilateral cleft lip and require surgery at six weeks old.
In 1967 I got married in Reno, Nevada to a wonderful man, he worked at Mare Island in Vallejo, California. My name now is Anita Lynn McCloskey. My husband worked as a Marine Machinist. In 1971 we had our first daughter Madelene Elizabeth, 1976 our first son was born Sean Andrew, 1978 our second son was born Brandon Alexander, 1983 our second daughter was born Shannon Donnelle, 1985 our third daughter was born Meghan Kathleen.
I obtained certificates and my A.S. Degrees in Criminal Justice Law Enforcement and Corrections. In 2004 I transferred to Kaplan Online University that is based in Florida and Davenport Iowa. I will obtain my B.S Degree in Criminal Justice in July 2006 and continue at Kaplan Online University towards my Master’s Degree.
My educational goal is to obtain my doctrine in Criminal Justice and teaching credentials. My professional goal is become an online Professor at a Junior College or University. I am very excited about being on the National Dean’s List, it proves that you are never too old to accomplish an educational goal and obtain a profession of your choice. My advice is to get your education early in life so you can live the life style you want.
